Formed in the late 1940's at the former Congressional Airport in Rockville, Maryland, the Montgomery Senior Squadron (MSS) has served the Civil Air Patrol and its missions for over 60 years. The squadron now meets at the Montgomery County Airpark. The squadron participates regularly in search and rescue operations, patrolling missions for the state of Maryland, and emergency locator transmitters (ELT) location missions.
The Montgomery Senior Squadron meets every second and fourth Tuesday at 19:00 hours (7:00 pm) at the CFC-MSS trailer at Montgomery County Airpark. If you are interested in joining the Civil Air Patrol, please see the Join page. For directions and instructions about an escort through the security gate, please see the Meet page.
